Mary, Mary, Quite contrary how does your garden grow?
So, what is all the fuss about? For years now people having been really upset about new rules that are been enforced on Health food shops, hebalists, alternative therapy and now apparently it is going to effect what you can and cannot grow in your own garden. Hundreds of old varieties of vegetables and fruits are also under threat.
This website cannot take sides in this particular debate because of legal reasons but we do implore you to do some research and make up your own mind.

The Codex Alimentarius (Latin for "food code" or "food book") is a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines and other recommendations relating to foods, food production and food safety.
The Commission's main aims are stated as being to protect the health of consumers and ensure fair practices in the international food trade. The Codex Alimentarius is recognized by the World Trade Organization as an international reference point for the resolution of disputes concerning food safety and consumer protection
